Hands-on concrete grind and polishing workshop with a comprehensive overview of the different steps and possibilities: deep grind, to light polishing, coloring, filling joints and pits ... For new or renovated floors. Both theory and practice are covered in detail!
Our courses are also ideal networking events for professionals in the concrete sector, each with their own specific experiences and specialisations. Work together with other professionals from the sector and learn by seeing how others work!

Module deep gravel (deep grind) (Teachers Bart Storms, Tom Decoster, David Dumortier)
In this module we will prepare an old concrete floor, deep grind and polish it with a grinder. In groups of 3 or 4, participants will work on a piece of concrete themselves.
- Removal of coatings and topcoats
- Cleaning of concrete floors
- Raw grind (metal bonded)
- Edging grind
- Grouting (filling of pores and holes)
- Filling holes, cracks and joints

Module Fast-Grind (Teacher Marc Clappers)
In this module, we demonstrate a system to polish concrete with Power Trowel machines. Chemicals to strip, harden, impregnate and treat floors are also covered.

Concrete technology, repair and finishing module
In this module, we extensively discuss concrete technology (operation of concrete plant, types of concrete, compositions, aggregates, etc.). The practical part focuses on repairing concrete (filling pits, filling joints, etc.) and finishing corners and edges with hand machines.

DAILY INDEPENDENCE:
- 8.30 a.m.: Reception with gingerbread
- 8.45 a.m.: Theory in general
- 9:45-11:30: Module 1
- 11.30-13.15: Module 2
- 13:15-15:00: Module 3
- 3 p.m.: In group: bush hammering and coloring logo
- 16:00: Evaluation and awarding of diplomas
- 16:30: Expected end of training
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
- We work concrete with Grinders - preferably wear work clothes
- Wear safety shoes
- It is possible that some of the training will take place outside. Please consider bringing a coat if necessary.
- We provide disposable earplugs. If desired, bring your own PPE (gloves, earmuffs)
- The training course is organized in Dutch as standard, but can be given in French and English on request.

- Submit an application via the KMO Portfolio, at the latest 2 working days before the start of the training course
- Pay your part (total amount - 30%) to the SME Portfolio
- The remaining amount will be deposited by SME Portfolio and paid to us.
- As a registered service provider, we approve the file if it has been requested in time
IMPORTANT: payment should not be made to us, but to Vlaio, the organisation behind the KMO Portefeuille. As a company, you yourself must submit the application to the KMO Portefeuille. KMO Portefeuille applications must be submitted at the latest 14 days after the performance, but our internal policy is that training courses must always be paid for in advance. We ask you to take this into account and to start the file at the latest 2 working days before the start of the training.
