International decorative concrete seminar

Two day decorative concrete seminar, aimed at professionals who want to offer different types of decorative concrete to their customers. The seminar consists of both a theoritcal and practical part, offering you a solid base to start experimenting with decorative concrete as a service.

FREE SEMINAR – 150€ advance

This seminar is free, but we do ask an engagement in the form of a 150€ advance on group costs and travel expenses like transportation (airport – hotel – …), lunches, group dinners. These costs will be settled after the seminar per participant or company.

The group costs are expected to be around 250€ per person, including:
– all transportation from and to airport and from the hotel to the training facility
– Lunches & drinks
– 1 group dinner

Tuesday 28/05: Stamped concrete / Expose aggregate concrete / Bush hammered concrete

Theory
– Site preparation
– Needed tools
– Concrete composition, cement types, aggregate types, additives, …
– Client expectations and communication
– Applications and sales strategy
– Overview and composition of used chemicals

Practice
– Pouring, leveling and finishing concrete
– Applying surface deactivator (exposed aggregate)
– Using and applying chemicals for stamped concrete (unique procedure with only liquids)
– Stamping the concrete (different stamp patters)
– Cleaning, protecting and maintaining
– Colouring stamped concrete with sealer
– Bush hammering concrete

Wednesday 29/05: Grinding and polishing concrete

Theory
– Site preparation
– Machine selection and overview
– Tool selection and overview (diamonds bonds)
– Client expectation and communication
– Overview and prevention of most occuring damage claims
– Application and sales strategy

Practice
– Preparation: Removing stone glue
– Deep grind (Lavina grinders)
– FAST-GRIND (Grinding with power trowel)
– Finishing touch (finishing edges with hand machines, filling holes, joints, …)
– Applying chemicals (densfiers, sealers, acid stain, …)
